How Does This Pic Make You Feel???

-Disturbed
-Indifferent
-Nothing
-Pity/Sory?

It is indeed a common site in our country, especially at traffic signals.
Small children, not even aware of the complexities of the world, forced to beg.
Very recently i came across two groups of girls,at two traffic signal ,about a km n a half apart, selling ball pens to the commuters.
It appeared as though, they were "trained" to sell those off, because they happen to use same set of lines, precisely in same order, and that cant be a mere co-incidence.
i want to buy new slippers for my bare feet"- proclaimed the innocent girl.
what really bothered me was when she said with liquid eyes--"mera koi nahi hai, isliye mujhe ye pen bechne hai "..
Isn't it sad how ruthless the world can be.

I was sure, that the money they get from selling those pens, isn't going to get the girl any new slippers, rather not even a good meal.

The smallest thing, which I am sure each and everyone of us can do is, instead of giving them money, give them some form of packed food,a pack of biscuits, a chocolate may be.
Make it a point you put in some packets of biscuits/cookies, any thing healthy, a fruit may be in the dashboard of your car,and whenever you come across a child asking for alms to feed their empty bellies, give him food.

JaMoorAa..

How the same thing means different for different people.!!
Rope Walking, an art for some, and a mode to feed empty bellies for some.
I happened to see such a stunt recently , after many years, and all these years i was thinking it does not happen anymore in cities, may be here and there some where in villages. But this was right in the heart of National capital.

I felt sory for the little girl, who must be just about say 6-7 years!,in a torn frock, which she seemed to Would such a young mind even know WHAT is she doing, and the risks involved..
And for those wondering Why the Title "Jamoora".How much ever shocking it may seem, but that's what the girls father was addressing her.!
Some people Justify this saying ,that what else would  they do for a living. And why not its a form of gymnasium.
SERIOUSLY! people being from the so called educated class, couldn't think for a better form of earning.Besides is the 6-7 year old child responsible for the earnings of the family ?
I Don't Think So.

All i'm trying to do here is to tell you what we all know!Just that lets get together and do something about it. I feel helpless for not able to do anything about such issues.
Any one with creative ideas, which are feasible, and no matter how small it may be,something making a difference, please do come forward .

Not for your country, not for your religion, not for your community,BUT FOR HUMANITY.
Because just wearing a Being Human T-shirt,does not make you a HUMAN.

Beliefs & Ignorance..

Driving on my way across the shahpura lake, 0900 hrs on a lazy sunday morning post Anant Chaudas,
i see a group of kids, busy fighting for their share of coconuts, which they had been fishing out from the now -'Shahpura Bog'.
I thought at first is it that ,only I find the site flustering? Are people  actually blinded in the name of age old traditions and customs that they actually don't see what 'we' have done to to all the beautiful water bodies in Bhopal, overnite?

When i came back home, i tried to find out , does any of the scriptures actually say that, farewell your favorite God,with  sweets, coconut, garlands, cloth, along, all wrapped in a 'plastic goody bag' so as to say.
I understand the issue is very sensitive, and people don't like being questioned on their religious beliefs.
But,it perturbs me to see all the edibles being water soaked, and being eaten by the poor children.
When ultimately ,God wants those children to have the food, why can't we directly give it to them, and save them the trouble to dive for it!

And trust me, our Ganesha, does not want us to pack things for him in a plastic bag. Ultimately the plastic bags r going to be there forever along the lake.It is us,the people living here, who will make a remark a while later-- " The lakes were so beautiful during the monsoon, but 'kya karein' the Govt. doesn't take an initiative for its maintenance" .

I would not end this by writing a list of solutions and what initiatives should we take to rectify things.!Rather leaving it open for u to think...
